Jacquelyn Taaffe

Graphic Designer

Previous Work Experience: My life as a designer began as a freelancer in the summer of 2004. I worked at a number of places where I helped on magazine layouts, logos, brochures and packaging. From there I was hired full time by Torre Lazur McCann as a designer and later promoted to associate art director. It was there that I became fully immersed in pharmaceutical advertising, working on accounts like Requip RLS, Requip PD, Requip XL, and Aciphex primarily, but also helping out on Plavix, Mucinex, Delsym, and Fragmin. After two and a half years of designing everything from brochures and logos to packaging and concept layouts, I made the move to the big city and 'nition. So since I began in November, I have been enjoying working on several internal items for 'nition, as well as expanding my horizon in the healthcare world where I've been privileged to work so far on Eli Lilly, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola, and Juvederm.

Education: B.S. degree in Graphic Design from American University

Specialties/Skills: Designing in Illustrator, remaining calm in tense situations, cooking, other things I can't recall on command. My dearest dream is to learn how to bake those cool wedding cakes you see on the Food Network, and beat Robby in a sarcasm match.

Personal Interests: Some activities I enjoy are but not limited to: reading fiction/design books, cooking, going to the movies, skiing, shopping, traveling to new places, listening to music, visiting my family/playing with their cats and most of all laughing.
